Dear Friends,

This year Elizabeth & I are joining Brenden and his parents to support the important work of the Spina Bifida Association of the Mid-Atlantic Region (SBAMAR) to improve the quality of life for those living with this complex birth defect by participating in the Walk-N-Roll for Spina Bifida.

Did you know that Spina Bifida is the most commonly occurring complex birth defect in this country and affects over 166,000 Americans? The total average lifetime health costs for an infant born with Spina Bifida can exceed $1,000,000.

As many of you know, our grandson Brenden was born 2 years ago with Spina Bifida. God has richly blessed us and continues to work miracles in Brenden’s life. We are joining him in the WalknRoll for Spina Bifida in October in Washington DC. This is an effort to raise $$$$ for research. We invite you to participate by simply donating $ 25 to the cause or by joining his team and walking with us in October.

I have decided to help SBAMAR take steps today for a brighter tomorrow for those living with the challenges caused by this birth defect. I am committed to helping Brenden raise both the awareness and $ 5000 to support programs and services for those with Spina Bifida. You can also make a difference by joining my team and walking with us, or by donating funds to help us reach our goal.
